Ambient Lighting Mustang owners can choose to purchase the Interior AMbient Lighting Package, an optional feature with the 2008 Mustang V6 Premium models. This unique feature illuminates the front and rear footwells and front cupholders with any one of seven colours. The driver or front passenger can choose from red, orange, blue, indigo, violet, green and yellow.

The Mustang starts with its 3-spoke steering wheel in control. Under the arched instrument panel, the speedometer and tachometer are equipped with radial numeric markers in the classic Mustang style. Chrome-ringed air vents, precisely in line with the gauges, which flow horizontally across the instrument panel for an organized and sleek look.
The optional Interior Upgrade Package features a satin-aluminium finish instrument panel, door handles, air vents, and door scuff plates with bright Mustang lettering inserts. The standard AM/FM stereo with single-CD player features 160 watts of power and 4 speakers. And Mustang's new electrical hardware allows the radio to continue playing after the ignition key is removed. The optional Shaker 500 Audio System has the capability to play standard and MP3-burned CDs on its 6-disc in-dash CD changer. Two door-mounted subwoofers are part of the system's 8 speakers, which create up to 500 watts of peak power.
